I started this blog because I was frustrated with AI coverage that's either breathlessly hype-driven or hopelessly dismissive. I wanted something in between: honest, hands-on, data-informed.
By day I work at the intersection of technology and strategy. By night (and early morning) I run experiments, break things, and document what I find. Every post here is something I actually wanted to know the answer to — not content for content's sake.
What I Write About
The blog covers five areas, which you'll see tagged on every post:
- AI Tools — reviews, comparisons, and workflow integrations
- Experiments — controlled tests with real results, not vibes
- Opinions — takes I'm willing to defend, clearly labelled as such
- Data — posts anchored in numbers, with charts and tables
- Tutorials — step-by-step walkthroughs I wish I'd had
Why Graphs and Tables?
A lot of AI commentary is anecdote dressed as analysis. I think claims deserve evidence, so most of my comparative posts include charts and sortable data so you can explore the numbers yourself rather than just trusting my summary.
Get in Touch
You can reach me at lorenzo.bartolo@gmail.com. I'm always happy to hear about experiments you're running, tools I should look at, or pushback on anything I've written.
The best way to understand AI is to use it — a lot, deliberately, and with scepticism. That's what this blog is.
